April Mae was last seen as Cinna/Titinius in PlayMakers Repertory's production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar.

 

Her previous work includes; Fay in the rolling world premiere of Jump at Playmakers Repertory Company.

April Mae Davis was born and raised in Kinston, NC to Beverly and Anthony Davis Sr. During grade school years, she found most of her acting projects at church with the Drama Ministry lead by Deacon Lenston Whitfeild.

 

In addition to this, she participated in a few high school competitions including being a semi finalist for the National Shakespeare Competition in New York. Even though theatre was a huge part of her life, she initially majored in Journalism and Mass Communications (Public Relations) and did not switch fully to theatre until her second semester.

 

In 2017, she graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts (Performance). During her time at NC A&T, she was extremely involved in the student theatre organization by being President and VP, as well as Miss Alpha Psi Omega forthe National Theatre Honor Society.
